Review for 12/27/2024 My friend and I got so lucky, we came here on a Friday night and we only had to wait 10 minutes for a grill. It would have been a 45 minute wait, but we had a chance to get in right away. You'd have to call for reservations, but for only parties 4 or more, otherwise you'd have to do a walk-in. Parking is limited and it does get hectic, so I recommend getting here early. We got to meet the owner and she was so helpful and gave us a brief run down of the menu. We ordered their "B2" Such JuMulLeok KalBi (short rib steak) and their wagyu steak! I loved their wagyu steak the most and I highly recommend ordering that one. It melts in your mouth and they grill it to perfection. The staff helps each other out and one of the managers goes around observing quality assurance which I thought was really cool! Everyone is so attentive and they hold themselves up for high standards. The side dishes were amazing. One of the things that they could have approve on was their kimchi. It still tasted good, but it could have fermented a little longer, unless they were going for a light tangy taste. Overall, I rate this place a 5/5 because of their quality in service, food, and standards. I think they have limited seats available because attention to detail is important, so it becomes difficult to care for each table.

Came here for lunch on the weekend after playing pickleball at the nearby courts and was surprised that the restaurant wasn't crowded. The parking lot can get crowded, but after getting parking we were seated right away! This is one of the few restaurants that still do wood fire bbq and it was quite the experience! Each meat order came with so much food and someone was always there to help us cook and serve the meat. Everything was excellent and I will definitely be back!

Came here for a couple meals - once in a group setting and another as a pair. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall in Santa Clara and known for their charcoal bbq grill. Parking is available but can get busy in the plaza. Walking in, this was one of the most clean Korean bbq restaurants I've been to. They have very good ventilation for each grill and leaves guests not smelling like bbq for a change! Important things to note: - This is NOT an AYCE BBQ restaurant. Everything is a la carte and pricey. - They have lunch specials from 11-2pm M-F except holidays - Menus contain: appetizers, seafood, dumplings and hot noodles, wood-fired bbq, cold noodles, rice dishes, soups and stews, specialties, pork belly/prime brisket combos, and beverages. - If ordering any wood-fired bbq items, there is a minimum of 2 orders so you'll definitely be spending over $135+ on that alone but their staff will prepare and grill the meat for you. You can mix and match any 2 items from this menu section. - The staff are relatively friendly and are pros at grilling the meat medium-rare and taking both the cartilage and meat right off the bone. My top favorite is the B2 - wood-fired bbq prime short ribs in sesame oil ($65.99). It comes marinated and hits the spot with every bite. I also tried the special US wagyu 20 oz steak ($65.99) and it was a very thick cut, takes longer to cook, and not marinated. The staff sprinkled rock salt on the steak, which helped but it didn't taste as good as the short ribs. Something that I didn't expect to review was their mixed green tofu salad with sliced almonds and citrus/lemony dressing. There's something about their dressing that is - chef's kiss! I've never eaten cold tofu before and this got me eating it. This is by far the best salad I've had at a Korean restaurant. Overall the service was positive and attentive - replenished the banchan and salads quickly. If you come on a busy night, there is a call button available.

Ever since we visited S. Korea last year, we've grown to appreciate charcoal grilled Kbbq. We used to come here just for their regular menu with soup but recently, we've been going for the kbbq. This is a kbbq restaurant where they cook the meat for you and the quality of the meat is going to be a premium compared to an ayce. I called in to make reservations for 3 people on a Saturday night and we were seated promptly. For the meat, B1 such bul kalbi, is the one to get. This is the marinated rolled short rib that we loved when Palace used to be open for kbbq. They also take the meat and tendon off the bone to cook and bring it back on the grill for you. High recommend getting this cut. We've tried their special US wagyu recently because of their promo. I thought it was ok cause it felt too dry from the way it was cooked. I think I would just stick to their regular meat cut off their menu. I can't get enough of their salad that they provide. Something about their salad sauce, tofu and sliced almonds makes it addicting. I could eat their salad everyday if I could. Their service is great and they're on top of cooking the meat for you. There's also a call button at the table. Parking can get tricky during certain times. If you're coming for dinner, there's more parking available if go before 6pm on a weekend.

Food: Good good good! High quality meat but be prepared to drop at least $60 a head. I recommend the LA Galbi and Rib meat (주물럭). My party of 3 hungry dudes was satisfied with two orders of meat like this + a steamed egg. Service: Everything is grilled and cleaned for you efficiently. They take the bone to the back to grill it and bring it back so that you can get all off the tendon pieces. Ambiance: Slightly stuck in the 00's but it's cool. Quiet good food but not really "modern". Just authentic Korean. I dig it.

3.5 stars we were on the bbq side n ordered b1 prime beef short rib (marinated) and pork belly. got seafood pancake and steam egg for the sides. -short rib: not bad and flavorful, better than i thought -pork belly: def had better, not that juicy and very bland even with dipping sauce. pork belly quality is just mid -seafood pancake: not bad, not overloaded by batter -side salad with tofu: a star -steam egg: fluffy and basic goodness overall i'd say the food is okay based on what we ordered - it does feel a bit pricey for the quality of the meat. however, servers were very attentive and service was very good!

Pretty good place! The wood fired grill here definitely infuses the meats with the smokey flavor and probably one of the few places in the area that fulfills that flavor profile. Especially with thinner slices of meat like brisket and beef tongue, it works really well. The staff cooks the meat and will place them on the foil next to the grill when it's ready. We also ordered a side of Ddeok Guk and it's a great wholesome addition to a meat heavy meal, it's rich in flavor and refreshing.

Korean Spring BBQ is tucked into a little strip mall in Santa Clara. We walked in a little early on Halloween and it was pretty empty due to the holiday - but the place got filled up pretty quick anyway. We went because they use charcoal instead of gas and were excited to try. The restaurant is very clean for a kbbq place. You actually leave without smelling like smoke! When they bring out the charcoals a loud turbine sounding vent turns on - very cool and super helpful in keeping the place smoke free. The menu itself is a little all over the place. They have pork specials that aren't grilled - we would have had to move to get that. They have noodles, soups, and a relatively small section of coal grilled meats. Taking 1 star off for the small selection as well as the pricing. Everything was on the higher end price wise. We ordered 3 different cuts - the galbi, rib fingers, and pork belly. Galbi was good but expensive for the amount you get. The rib fingers were tough and not great. The pork belly was huge which was a surprise given the size of the other portions. They cook everything for you so no need to cook over the grill yourself. They are very skilled handling the coals so nothing was burned or overcooked. The banchan served with the dishes were good and the staff filled anything you asked for back up. Overall pretty good but pricey. Over $200 for 2 people and only 3 cuts of meat - 2 of which were small. We will probably come back and try the late night special which seems to be a little better value.

Experience (4/5 stars): *Food: Mul NaengMyeon + Kalbi was delicious! Saw someone put the meat into the cold broth and I was pleasantly surprised! GamJa Tang was flavorful, good with the side of rice. PaJeon was crispy. Lastly, steamed egg was fluffy but could've skipped *Price: spent ~$100 *Service: good, refilled the sides Overall, I'd come back to try the KBBQ! (:
